Loïc Isliker and Paul de Groot attempt to tackle a steep exposed line they spotted earlier in the season from the Swiss ski resort of Arolla. These kind of lines usually have to wait until spring, but with stable April conditions in February the guys decide to give it a go. After a short night spent in a nearby hut, the two head out in the early morning darkness to assess the possibility of skiing their objective as they talk through their decision making processes every step along the way (a pretty awesome part of this series). Sometimes conditions don’t line up and there’s nothing wrong with walking away when you’re not feeling it. Besides, just getting out in the mountains, enjoying the journey and returning home safely really is what it’s all about.
