The Freeride World Tour announces a new three-year partnership with HEAD TYROLIA that will begin this season and go through 2028. HEAD will become the Official Supplier of the FWT, providing skis, ski boots, poles & Tyrolia Bindings for staff at all Pro Tour stops and a presence at FWT Qualifier & Junior events, including the debut FIS Freeride World Championships this February in Andorra.
“FWT and HEAD | TYROLIA share a common commitment to excellence, progression, and respect for the mountains. This partnership represents a convergence of vision and values that will help shape the future of competitive freeride on a global scale.”
Nicolas Hale-Woods, FWT Founder and CEO, stated, “We are very excited to welcome HEAD as a new partner of the Freeride World Tour. HEAD’s expertise, strong activation power, and the high-level quality of products are major assets to support the development of the FWT and ensure the excellence of the Tour.”

HEAD already supports several athletes competing on the FWT including Jenna Keller (SUI), Abel Moga (ESP), Lena Kohler (GER), and Carl Regnér Eriksson (SWE); as well as former FWT champions Hedvig Wessel (Nor) and Jess Hotter (NZL).
Historically known for ski racing equipment, HEAD has been making swift strides into the freeskiing/freeride side of things these past few years and they’re not just talking the talk. Aside from making freeride oriented products (skis, boots, bindings, etc.), they’ve been investing in their roster of freeskiing/freeride athletes which continues to grow in size & stature. In addition, they’ve invested in producing a yearly full-length film featuring said athletes, three years running. These films hold their own and stack up to the bigger production companies, a result of bringing in legendary ski filmmaker Jeff Thomas, formerly with Theory 3, Poor Boyz & Blank Collective, as director & producer. That said, partnering with the FWT certainly tracks, further proving their commitment to supporting freeride.
“On the mountain, trust in your gear is everything, whether you’re competing or running international events on legendary faces. At HEAD | TYROLIA, we’ve been building that trust for decades. From grassroots riders to the pinnacle of freeride, we’re here to support the community. The FWT is the biggest stage in competitive freeriding and the perfect partner for us to work together towards this common goal.” – René Harrer, Vice President HEAD Ski & Bindings
It appears HEAD isn’t just hopping on the freeride trend, rather they’re in it for the long haul; walking the walk, putting their money & values where their mouth is by supporting the growth of freeride and planning on doing so for years to come.
