The first competition broadcast of the season! Although the Freeride World Tour stop in Japan was canceled for this year, they still ran the 4* Freeride World Qualifier. The highest combine score from this year and next year’s competition will get a wild card for the 2022 Freeride World Tour event in Hakuba. First up is snowboard men, then ski men (42 mins in), snowboard women (1:23 mins in), and finally ski women (1:42 mins in). It was a bit more firm than the typical ‘japow’ conditions but a fun venue coupled with more snow already than any point last season made for some playful and creative runs.
