Last winter Christopher Henning, Cody Bramwell and Emil Granbom traveled to the Accursed Mountains of Kosovo to ride lines and experience the unique freeride culture of this not-so-average ski destination. They battled sub-par conditions and daily logistical problems due to their remoteness but it didn’t stop them from getting after it and exploring the incredible terrain and culture of this beautiful place.
“Every winter a group of Yugoslavian skibums leave their friends and families for months on end to travel deep into the Accursed Mountains. A cold and desolate place where access to running water, heat and electricity is a daily struggle. This past winter we got to learn what keeps them going despite the immense struggle of keeping the logistics running – far away from civilization. The aim with this film is to give you a showcase of some of Europes most playful mountains as well as the culture making skiing them possible. The forecasts lied, the conditions were mostly shit and we had to work with what we got. Despite this, Kosovo gave us the adventure of a lifetime in a way that could never be fully captured in a film.” – YouTube
