The 2026 FWT Yeti Xtreme Verbier went down this past Saturday on the legendary Bec des Rosses. This is the 30th anniversary of this comp with the first Verbier Xtreme taking place on The Bec in 1996. With 50 cm of fresh snow and cold weather, the stars aligned for pretty damn perfect conditions with the holy trinity of a steep, deep & stable venue for the finally of the 2026 FWT season.
In Snowboard Men, Victor de Le Rue earned his fifth FWT title, the first person of any discipline to do so while Liam Rivera took home the W on the Bec in front of his home crowd. For Ski Men, Ben Richards finished first on the Bec as the final Ski Men competitor earning him the ‘Triple Crown’ (™Mark Warner of the Freeride Guide) consisting of a win at World Champs, first in Verbier & the overall FWT title. In the Ski Women category, the rookie Lou Barin finished first with two 360’s, spinning both right & left, on the face pushing her to the top of the pack taking the overall title. And lastly for Snowboard Women, rookie Mia Jones earned herself a Triple Crown as well with a Verbier win in her first season on tour.
